Cyrilla Jane Speck was born on May 4, 1949 to James Edward and Magdaline (Diver) Speck in Kansas City, MO. She entered Heaven’s gates surrounded by her family from her Clearwater, KS home on October 10, 2020.

At age 7½, the family moved to Raytown, MO. She graduated from Raytown South High School. On May 25, 1968, she married David Lee Taylor at the Shelbyville, IN, Church of the Nazarene. They resided in Indiana until 1973 when they moved to the Wichita, KS area. She has lived in Clearwater, KS since 1983.
Cyrilla was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. She loved the Lord and was a member of the Clearwater, KS Church of the Nazarene. She had various responsibilities at churches she attended over the years, including being a choir member and soloist (she had a lovely soprano voice). Among things she enjoyed was her own ceramic shop. Other interests included sewing, crocheting, needlework, scrapbooking; drawing etc.
She is survived by her loving husband, Dave, of 52 years, of the home. Also surviving are son, Travis (Trina) Taylor of Goddard, KS; daughters, Rosalie “Rose” (Kenny) Cowles and Rebecca (Will) Taylor-Shell both of Clearwater, KS. Surviving grandchildren are Glen Taylor, Jennifer Harmon, Erin Taylor, Brandon Cowles, Sarah (Eric) Tuxhorn, Taylor Cowles, Kevin Friend, Collin Verbeck and Austin Shell. great-grandchildren Ashland Taylor, Seth Taylor, Jaxson Taylor R.J. Harmon, Johnnie Harmon, Amelia Harmon and Henry Tuxhorn. Her sister, Carol Speck of Raytown, MO also survives. She was preceded in death by her parents and granddaughter, Faith Hope Cowles.
