Visitation, Noon-7pm, with family present from 6-7pm, Wednesday, September 11, at Shinkle Mortuary, Haysville. Services, 11am, Thursday, September 12, at Colonial Heights Church, Wichita.

Preceded in death by son, Willie Akins Jr; granddaughter, Neesha Akins; daughter-in-law, Jill Akins; parents, Charles and India Akins; siblings, Alyene Lucas, Maxine Coyner, Florene Tarver, Charles Akins. Survivors: wife, Loretta Akins; children, Vickie (Tim) Cummings of Nashville, TN, Rocky Akins, Glenn (Paula) Akins all of Wichita, Edward (Karla) Akins of Indianapolis, IN; sister, Delphine Rowell of Cushing, OK; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren..
