Robert A. Benoit, age 77, passed away, Thursday, February 8, 2024.

Rosary, 7:30pm, Thursday, February 15 and Funeral Mass, 10:30am, Friday, February 16, both at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, Schulte.

Robert A. Benoit was born on a dairy farm in Damar, KS April 3, 1946. He was the second born of eight kids. Moved to Wichita, KS in 1964 and married Kayleen Winters in 1965. They had 4 children, 7 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren; they just celebrated 59 years of marriage in January. Bob coached all four of his children in various sports throughout the years. He was a football, basketball, and baseball official for 29 years. In 2004 he became commissioner of Ark Valley Chisholm Trail where he remained until his death. He retired from Boeing Spirit in 2016. Bob was a master catechist and taught RCIA and was a 4th degree Knights of Columbus at St. Peters Catholic Church. In his later years family became his favorite past time. He will be truly missed by all.

Preceded in death by parents, Bernard E. and Marie Hannah Benoit; sister, Joyce Gosselin; brother, Gerald Benoit. Survivors: wife, Kayleen Benoit; children, Janell Craig, Mark Benoit, Kelly (Shannon) Benoit, Kristie Zoellner all of Wichita; siblings, Carol McKenna of Russell, Martha (Roger) Irby of Commerce City, CO, Lawrence (Jolene) Benoit of Damar, Daniel (Janella) Benoit of Manhattan, David (Carmen) Benoit of Pueblo, CO; grandchildren, Shea (Jana) Craig, Shelby Craig, Brennon Benoit, SPC Ethan Zoellner, Gabrielle Benoit, Gracie Zoellner, Hannah Zoellner; great-grandchildren, Trenton Taylor, Rowdy Craig.
