Clearwater- Richard Bloomer,  age 86, passed away Monday, July 17, 2023.

Visitation Sun, July 23 from 1-4pm w/family present from 2-4pm at Webb-Shinkle Mortuary, Clearwater. Rosary, 7pm, Sun, July 23. Funeral Mass, 10am, Mon, July 24 BOTH at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, Schulte.

Richard was born Aug 16, 1936 in Hutchinson, KS. Richard married his high school sweetheart, Jane F. Kountz on the 26th of January of 1957 at St. Theresa Catholic Church.

Preceded in death by wife, Jane (Kountz) Bloomer; parents,Wilson and Jewell (Alumbaugh) Bloomer; infant son, James R. Bloomer and son, Keith A. Bloomer.

Survivors: children, Nancy Quaney of Wichita, Paul Bloomer of Clearwater, Brian Bloomer of Phoenix, AZ, Amy (Jason) O’Byrne of Wichita; sister, Colleen Thaxton of Greeley, CO; brother, Alan Bloomer of Clearwater; 8 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren.
