Patricia Joan (Leeder) Maechtlen

Haysville-  Patricia “Pat” J. Maechtlen, age 85, artist & photographer, passed away Sunday, January 5, 2020.

Pat was born on Sunday, April 15, 1934 in Florence, Kansas to Robert W. and Hazel I. (Graves) Leeder. She was united in marriage to Charles J. Maechtlen in February of 1957. Her greatest joys in life came from her family, and an insatiable interest in art, photography, and gardening. Her home and garden were filled with her paintings, sculpture, and mosaics, which she shared every year with a “Garden Party” for everyone.

Visitation, 9am-7pm, Friday, January 10th, with family present 5:30-7pm. Services, 10am, Saturday, January 11th, BOTH at Webb-Shinkle Mortuary Chapel, Clearwater.

Preceded by husband, Charles J. Maechtlen; parents, Robert and Hazel (Graves) Leeder. Survivors: son, Kevin (Lisa) Maechtlen of Fernandina Beach, FL; daughters, Kathy (David) Pelz of Clonmel, Jody (Mark) Stephen of Wichita; sister, Betty (Bob) Barber of AZ; grandchildren, Drew (Michele) Pelz, Lindsay (Brent) Phillips, Kendra Pelz, Gage (Brianna) Stephen, and Drake (Summer) Stephen;  great-grandchildren, Logan Pelz, Jackson Phillips, Parker, William, and Lila Stephen, Olivia Sanchez, Harrison and Calvin Stephen.
