Norene Broz

Norene (Dygert) Broz, age 88, retired custodian for the Haysville School district, and member of the Midwest Polka Club, Oklahoma Polka Club, Polka of A and the Red Hats, passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2026.

Rosary, 7pm, Sunday, November 1 and Funeral Mass, 10am, Monday, November 2, both at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, Haysville.

Norene was an advocate for her daughter, Brenda, and other individuals with disabilities.

Norene was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Broz Sr; parents, Dennis and Birdean Dygert; siblings, Dick Dygert, Shirley McCallum; son-in-law, James Thomas; great grandchild, Ella Brown. She is survived by her children, Kathy Thomas of Clearwater, Brenda Broz of Wichita, Richard (Vicki) Broz Jr. of Spearville; siblings, Nancy Strauss of Lincoln, NE, Bob (Coleen) Dygert of Hastings, NE, Cynthia (Chris) Anderson of Billings, MT; grandchildren, Lynn (Danny) Resser, Jennifer (Jarrod) Brown, Christopher (Kera Curley) Thomas, Joshua Thomas, Logan Broz, Trevor (Kelsey) Broz, Jacob (Chesna) Broz, Zachary (Destiny) Broz, Paige (Cale) Thompson; 23 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild.
