Larned- Lucille Ann (Jarmer) Pankratz, age 74, retired paralegal, passed away on Monday, June 26, 2017. Rosary Friday, June 30, 10AM, followed by Mass of Christian Burial, 11AM, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 1111 State St, Larned, KS, 67550. Lu Ann was born on Tuesday, January 19, 1943 in Kingman, Kansas. She was the second of three children born to Joseph and Bertha Wilhemina Werner Jarmer. She graduated from Zenda elementary and Zenda High School. She played basketball and tennis in school. She was united in marriage to Gaylon Kent Pankratz on June 13, 1964 in Larned, Kansas. She worked as a paralegal for more than 30 years. She was also a bookkeeper for Larned Public Library for over 20 years, and she worked as an administrative assistant for St. Joseph Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Larned, Kansas. LuAnn was a creative writer. She loved the Colorado mountains and hummingbirds. She enjoyed cooking and baking, was a skilled seamstress, and loved traveling internationally to England and Canada. LuAnn is preceded in death by her husband Gaylon; parents, Joseph and Bertha Jarmer. Survivors: sons, Michael (Christine) Pankratz of Goddard and David (Kellie) Pankratz of Cheney; grandchildren, Nicholas, Daniel, Thomas, Noel and Lily Pankratz.
