Harper- Loyd M. Walter, age 69, ret. Boeing & Spirit Quality Assurance Inspector, passed away Saturday, January 6, 2018. Visitation, 9am-7pm, Tuesday, January 9th, w/family present, 5:30-7pm, Webb-Shinkle Mortuary, Clearwater. Services, 10am, Wednesday, January 10th, at Norwich Baptist Church. Loyd was born on Tuesday, August 10, 1948 in Harper, Kansas. He was the fifth of seven children born to Julian Louis Walter and Ethel Lee Boydston Walter. Preceded by parents, Julian and Ethel (Boydston) Walter; siblings, Jerry & Gerald Walter, Connie Town, and Barbara Blanton; granddaughter, Kylie Hare. Survivors: children, Tonya (Justin) Garretson of Clearwater, Lorie (Eric) Taylor, Nathan (Erin) Walter, all of Norwich, Derrick Poe of Harper, Shayla (Mark) Depperschmidt of Wheatridge, CO; Jacob Walter of Harper; sisters, Joyce Hix of Shawnee, OK and Lois (Eddie) West of Wichita; 16 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren.
