John E. Nelson

Wichita- Nelson, John E. age 62, passed away, at home Sunday, October 8, 2017. John was born August 28, 1955 to Mike and Marge (Slater) Nelson. John was employed at Rockwell Collins as an avionic technician for 43 years. He married Connie Wittman in 1997 and they have four children. John was preceded in death by his mother. He is survived by his wife, Connie Nelson; children, Micah, Rebekah, Lydia, and Anna Nelson of the home; sons, Justin (Kris) Sweet, Colorado Springs, CO, Calvin Nelson, Wichita; daughter Sarah (Jared) Simon, Rose Hill, father Mike Nelson; sister, Jill (Craig) May, 4 grandchildren. Memorial Service, Thursday, October 12, at 11 am, at Calvary Baptist Church, 1636 E. Patriot Ave, Derby, KS 67037. Memorial to Calvary Baptist Church.
