John "Shorty" D. Davis, Sr.

Clearwater - John D. "Shorty" Davis, Sr, age 94, ret. Cessna Sheet Metal Mechanic and Farmer, passed away Saturday, April 15, 2023.

Visitation, 9am-7pm, Friday, April 21, with family present 5 -7pm, at Webb-Shinkle Mortuary. Graveside Services, 2pm, Saturday, April 22, at Clearwater Cemetery.

John Dee Davis, Sr, was born on Friday, May 25, 1928 in Poteau, Oklahoma, to his parents, John Corbett Davis and Lucinda (Rhodes) Davis. He was united in marriage to Ruth Bernice Deaver on February 25, 1955 in Wichita, KS. She preceded him in death on October 23, 2012.

John was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth; his parents; son, Danny Davis; sisters, Lorene Farrar, Frances Claycamp, Ruth Hiatt, and Ruby Artery; an infant brother and brother, Henry Davis. He is survived by his sons, John D. Davis, Jr, of Wichita, Ron (Michelle) Davis of Wichita, Kevin Davis of Wichita, Evan (Dawn) Davis of Springfield, MO, Tim (Donna) Davis of Clearwater; step-son, CJ Campbell of Joplin, MO; step-daughter, Charlotte Houck of Wichita; 19 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren.
