James "Dewayne" Gerlach

James “DeWayne” Gerlach, age 86, farmer, passed away Saturday, June 26, 2021.

Visitation, 9am-7pm, Wednesday, June 30th, with family present, 5:30-7pm, Webb-Shinkle Mortuary Chapel, Clearwater. Services, 10am, Thursday, July 1st, Goddard United Methodist Church.

DeWayne was born on Thursday, September 13, 1934 to his parents, John Henry Gerlach and Hallie Bell (Shipley) Gerlach. He was united in marriage to Lucille “Lucy” Ann Ottaway on September 4, 1955 in Goddard, Kansas. She preceded him in death on June 22, 2014.

Preceded by his wife,   Lucille “Lucy”; parents, John and Hallie (Shipley) Gerlach; brothers, Kenneth and Frank Gerlach; sisters, Geraldine Ayres and Winifred Gerlach. Survivors: daughter, Ann (Randy) Brillhart of Wichita; brother, Robert (Bonnie) Gerlach of Viola; grandchildren, Joe (April) Brillhart and Sarah (Fiance’ Kevin Cornell) Brillhart.
