James D. Garrigus

James “Jim” Dale Garrigus went to be with the Lord on December 14, 2024 at home with family present.

Visitation, 1-7pm, Thursday, December 19, with family present from 5:30-7pm and Funeral Services, 1pm, Friday, December 20, BOTH at Shinkle Mortuary, Haysville.

Born July 19, 1944 to Howard and Jewell (Richardson) Garrigus. Jim joined the Air Force at seventeen. While on leave from Texas to Wichita he met and married Eileen Wilson and they later had two wonderful sons, Greg and Michael, both now deceased. Later he met and married the love of his life Linda and he adopted her daughter Lea. Jim loved including family in all of his adventures: trucking, flying airplanes, golf, hunting and fishing, and restoring Greg’s hot rod.

Jim is preceded in death by his mother and father; sister, Barbara; brother Danny; sons, Michael and Greg. He is survived by his wife, Linda; daughter, Lea Swinford; first wife, Eileen Garrigus; siblings, Charles, Lonnie, Jerry, Brenda, Cheryl, Carol, Larry; 7 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.
