Gloria Jean (Rose) Schwind

Gloria Jean Schwind, age 78, passed away, Tuesday, July 26, 2022.

Visitation, Noon-7pm, with family present, 5:30-7pm, Thursday, July 28, at Shinkle Mortuary, Haysville.

Services, 10am, Friday, July 29, at 47th Street Church of Christ, Wichita.

Gloria was born in Wichita, KS on May 20, 1944, to Opal and Clifford Rose. She was raised in Peck, KS alongside her three older sisters. They were affectionately known as the Rose Girls.

She attended York University in Nebraska, where she was the life of every party.

In October of 1971 she married her best friend and love of her life David Schwind. They were married for over 50 adventurous years.

From 1969-1989 Gloria made many lifelong friends at Lear Jet, where she worked as an administrative assistant.

Gloria was proceeded in death by parents, Clifford and Opal Rose; parents-in-law, John and Cecilia Schwind; sister Fern Bohanan; nephew, Brent Bohanan.

Survived by husband, David Schwind; sisters, Christine Lucas and Nadine Davis, and many nieces and nephews that adored her to pieces.
