Gary Kirk Wise was born on August 25, 1935 in Wichita, KS. He was the only son of Dr. Kirk C. Wise and Louise Sautter Wise. A lifelong resident of Clearwater, Gary graduated from Clearwater High School in 1953. He attended Friends University and graduated in 1957. His first son James was born on Gary's birthday August 25 in 1960. His second son Daniel was born May 27, 1964. Gary was married to Patricia Dyer on February 9, 1968.Gary was a farmer and stockman his entire working life. He was a lifelong member of the Clearwater United Methodist Church. An avid hunter and sportsman, he hunted in Africa, Scotland, Canada, and many states throughout the U.S. He supported wildlife conservation through memberships in the the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, Safari Club International, and Ducks Unlimited. He was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association. Gary was a Freemason for over 50 years, and joined Unity Lodge; the same lodge where his father was a Past Master, and his sons and grandson are also members. Gary was also a Cub Scout leader and a past member of the volunteer Fire Department. Visitation, 9am-7pm, Thursday, April 26th with family present 5:30-7pm, Webb-Shinkle Mortuary. Services, 10:30am, Friday, April 27th, at Clearwater United Methodist Church. Gary is survived by his wife of 50 years Pat, and son James both of Clearwater, and son Daniel of Kansas City. He is also survived by his grandchildren Travis of Clearwater and Jillian of Heston. Gary is also survived by seven great-grandchildren Graclyn, Mason, Aiden, Mia, Jocelyn, Tucker, and Jack.
