Peck - Garland J. Bell, age 85, farmer and ret. Boeing superintendent, passed away Wednesday, August 7, 2019.

Visitation, Thursday, August 8, 12-7pm with family present 5:30-7pm, Shinkle Mortuary, Haysville. Services, Friday, August 9, 10am, Haysville Christian Church.

Garland was born on Friday, July 13, 1934 in Peck, Kansas, to Jewell William Bell and Lola (Stripe) Bell. He was united in marriage to Dorothy “Joan” Teetzel on December 26, 1953 in Wellington, Kansas. She preceded him in death on October 25, 1994. He was again united in marriage on August 29, 1996 to Janice Kay Dennett in Council Grove, Kansas.

Garland was preceded in death by his first wife, Joan (Teetzel) Bell; parents, Jewell and Lola (Stripe) Bell; sister, Cheryl Harris; great-grandchild, Isaac Sittenauer.

Survived by wife, Janice; children, Debbie (Jeff) Crawford of Peck, Steve (Michelle) Bell of Mulvane, Kevin (Ellen) Bell of San Antonio, TX, John (Heather) Ritchey of St. George; brother, Samuel (Nancy) Bell of Peck; 13 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren.
