Frances M. (Anderson) Johnson

Clearwater - Frances M. (Anderson) Johnson, age 95, passed away Monday, December 5, 2022.

Rosary/Vigil, 6pm, Fri. Dec 16. Funeral Mass, 10:30am, Sat. Dec 17, BOTH at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Clonmel.

Frances was born in Warren, MN on Nov. 14, 1927 to Lawrence and Nora  R.(Danielson) Anderson. Preceded by her loving husband, Robert J. “Bob” Johnson; her parents; siblings, Hubert and Wallace Anderson and Virginia Berg. She is survived by her daughters, Linda (Ted) Bilderback of Raleigh, NC, Roberta “Bobbie” Johnson of Wichita, KS; grandsons, Tim (Kylene) Bilderback, Zack (Jenn) Bilderback; great-grandchildren, Colt, Wyatt, Reed and Sage Bilderback; sister-in-law, Marlene Anderson of Fargo, ND; six nieces and two nephews. Fran attended business college in Fargo, ND, worked briefly as a secretary for the Manchester Biscuit Company and in 1949 married Bob. When her children were young, she was a homemaker and a volunteer. Later, she returned to her professional career working for several Wichita charitable organizations, including March of Dimes and Easter Seals. Fran was an avid and skilled bridge player, accomplished seamstress, quilter, and enthusiastically pursued her significant talent for knitting, crocheting, and a needlework technique called “cutwork” also known as pinto tagliato. In addition, she enjoyed ceramics and other craftworks. Fran was a longtime and, in recent years, the oldest parishioner of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Clonmel, KS. She was fiercely loyal and demonstrated selfless caring and devotion to her family. She always placed family and family needs first and was a loving mother, wife, and friend.
