Wichita - Elaine (Winkelman) Himes, age 82, retired para for USD 259, passed away Sunday, April 12, 2026.
Visitation with family present from 5-7pm, Friday, April 17 and Memorial Services, 10am, Saturday, April 18, both at Shinkle Mortuary, Haysville.
Elaine was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Himes; parents, Donald and Madelyn Winkelman; brothers, Jerry and Duane Winkelman. She is survived by her children, Carla (Ricky) Martens of Haysville and Kevin (Michelle) Himes of Wichita; grandchildren, Justin Martens, Kaila Tracy, Lacretia Himes, Brendan Himes, Kaitlynn Himes, Melinda Poston; great-grandchildren, Zephyr Himes, Millie Poston, Eliie Poston, KJ Burris and Baby Martens; sisters, Donna Thrasher of Kingman and Susan Anderson of Lawton, OK; nephews, Jason and Brian Anderson.
