Donald G. Higgins

Peck - Donald G. Higgins, age 70, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather passed away Saturday, December 5, 2020. He met the love of his life at an early age and recently celebrated 50 years of marriage. Donald was a retired business owner of American Eagle Construction, a local general contracting company. Don was known as having a “heart of gold” he was always there for his family and friends. His sense of humor was sure to put a smile on anyone’s face.  He was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting, fishing, camping, golfing and traveling with his wife, children, and grandchildren.  In his younger years he enjoyed sports and would play league softball and golf. He was his grandchildren’s biggest fan and loved to spend time with them.   Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Finis and Katherine (Conway) Higgins; sisters, Shirley Filgate, Sandra Cranford, and Yvonne Higgins;  brothers, Jack, Richard, Walter, Phillip, and Joseph Higgins. Survivors: wife, Mary; daughters, Katrina (Bob) Patrick of Clearwater, Tammy (Paul) Wilson of Mulvane; grandchildren, Erik (Jenny) Patrick, Justin (Stephanie) Patrick, Brooke (Reece) Potter, Ashley Wilson, Michael Wilson; great-grandchildren, Adelyn Potter, Emerie Potter, London Patrick, Latham Patrick, Nora Patrick and numerous nieces and nephews. No services are planned by the family at this time.
