Derrick Dion Renault, 52, passed away on June 23, 2026.

Born on November 25, 1973, at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, Derrick was the son of Frances Elaine Struthers and James Lowe Renault. He lived life on his own terms, with a free spirit, a generous heart, and a deep appreciation for the simple things that brought him joy.

Derrick loved country living and felt most at home outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, camping, spending time with animals, and collecting rocks wherever his adventures took him. He had a special love for music and could often be found listening to his favorite songs, finding comfort, inspiration, and connection through the music he loved.

More than anything, Derrick will be remembered for his kindness and willingness to help others. If Derrick had something and someone else needed it, he would find a way to share it. Whether it was a helping hand, a meal, a place to sit, or simply his time, he gave freely from the heart. He never hesitated to offer what he had, and his generosity touched the lives of many people throughout his life.

Those who knew Derrick knew a man with a big, tender heart. He loved deeply, cared sincerely, and left a lasting impression on the people fortunate enough to know him. His presence, laughter, and compassionate nature will be greatly missed and forever remembered.

Derrick is survived by his beloved children, Cade Renault and Brylee Renault; his mother, Frances Elaine Struthers; his stepfather, Earl Struthers; his sisters, Melissa Tucker and her husband Larry, Jamie Fox, and Tammi Nepa and her husband Paul.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Lowe Renault.

Though our hearts are heavy with loss, we take comfort in the memories Derrick leaves behind—in the songs he loved, the quiet moments spent outdoors, the stories he shared, the kindness he showed, and the love he gave so freely. His spirit will live on in the hearts of his family and friends FOREVER!

“A beautiful soul is never forgotten. Those we love remain with us in the lives they touched and the love they shared.”
