Delmer C. Gorges, age 83, ret. Dairyman/Farmer, passed away Saturday, April 28, 2018. Visitation, 9am-4pm, Wednesday, May 2, 2018, at Webb-Shinkle Mortuary, Clearwater. Vigil/Rosary, 7pm, Wed. Funeral Mass, 10:30am, Thursday, May 3, 2018, BOTH at St. John the Evangelist Parish, Clonmel. Delmer was born on Saturday, June 30, 1934 in rural Viola, Kansas. He was the fifth of eight children born to Mathias Matthew Gorges and Catherine Cecilia Simon Gorges. He was united in marriage to Patricia Ann Linnebur on November 28, 1953 at St. John's Catholic Church in Clonmel, Kansas. Preceded by son, Steven Gorges; parents, Mathias and Catherine (Simon) Gorges; brothers, Donald, Maurice, and William Gorges; sister, Emma Jean Pauly; grandchildren, Adam and Amanda Gorges, Danielle Dick. Survivors: wife of 64 years, Pat (Linnebur) Gorges; children, Paula (Kent) McIntyre of Wellington, Brenda Gorges of Wichita, Larry (Michelle) Gorges of Clearwater, Colleen (Ed) Mikesell of Goddard, Janelle Satterthwaite of Berthoud, CO, Jim Gorges of Greencreek, Idaho; siblings, Marilyn (John) Dugan of Goddard, Kathleen (Larry) Klein of Garden Plain, Janice Gorges of Wichita; 19 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren.
