Dean J. Lindamood

Clearwater - Dean J. Lindamood, age 91, ret. Wichita School District Maintenance, passed away Sunday, June 28, 2020. Visitation, Tuesday, June 30th, 3pm-7pm, with family present, 5:30-7pm, Webb-Shinkle Mortuary, Clearwater. Graveside Services, 10am, Wednesday, July 1st, Clearwater Cemetery. Dean was born on Saturday, July 14, 1928 in Bachelor Township, Greenwood County, Kansas. He was the oldest of three children born to Omer Dean Lindamood and Mina Irene (Boardman) Lindamood. He graduated from North High School in Wichita, Kansas. He was united in marriage to his first wife, Vera Ione Hamilton on November 28, 1953 in Wichita, Kansas. She preceded him in death on October 5, 2010. He found love again and was united in marriage to Valeta Fern (Harman) Nelson in May 2011 in Clearwater, Kansas. Preceded by first wife, Vera I. (Hamilton) Lindamood, parents, O. Dean and Mina (Boardman) Lindamood; sister, Lola Struthers. Survivors: wife, Valeta F. (Harman) Nelson Lindamood; step-daughter, Anita (Don) McMillan of Clearwater; nephew, J. Wesley (Vickie) Struthers of Clearwater; niece, Lynette (Ray) Struthers Koch of Peck, sister, Lila Schauner of Wascom, TX; numerous great nieces and nephews; step-grandchildren, Matt (Jennifer) McMillan, Garrett McMillan; numerous step-great-grandchildren.
