Clearwater-  Darrel N. Van Allen, age 99, farmer, passed away Monday, March 16, 2020.

Friends may come pay respects at the Mortuary on Thursday and Friday (March 19-20) from 9am - 3pm.

Due to the growing concerns for public health, Private Family Services will be held.

Darrel was born on Sunday, March 28, 1920 in Glade, Kansas. He was the second of four children born to Edwin Voyle VanAllen ad Fannie Fern (Wisehart) VanAllen. He was united in marriage to Arlene Gladys Bartel on May 10, 1942 in Clearwater, Kansas. She preceded him in death on July 15, 2016.

Preceded by wife, Arlene; parents, Edwin and Fannie (Wisehart) Van Allen; brothers, T.N. “Bud”, and Eldon Van Allen; sister, Joy Wade. Survivors: daughter, Gale (Bob) Fleming of Clearwater; sons, Steve (Brenda) Van Allen of Clearwater, JV (Karen) Van Allen of Ellsworth, KS, Scott (Donna) Van Allen of Clearwater;13 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren.
