Clinton "Roy" Leroy Young

Clearwater- Clinton “Roy” Young, age 86, ret. Army Drill Sgt/ret. Vulcan operator, passed away Tuesday, October 9, 2018.

Visitation, Friday, 9am-7pm, with family present, 5:30-7pm. Services, 10am, Saturday, BOTH at Webb-Shinkle Mortuary Chapel.

Roy was born on Saturday, May 14, 1932 in Sulphur Springs, Alabama. He was the sixth of eleven children born to Acie Arnold Young and Lillian Inus (Kenimer) Young.

He was united in marriage to Helen Mae (Riley) on March 12, 1969 in Reno, Nevada.

Preceded by his parents, Acie and Inus Young; wife, Helen (Riley) Young; son, Charles Baze; daughter, Elaine Fink; sisters, Bessie Mae James, Illion Ruth Young, and Mary Katherine Taylor;  and brothers, William Arnold Young, and Sanford "Olen" Young. Survivors: children, Phillis (James) Fink of Florence, MT, Lonnie Matlock of San Diego, CA, Trudy (Michael) Christian of Mulvane, Yvonne Hampton of Mulvane, Bill (Kim) Baze of Wichita, Keith (Kim) Baze of Lee’s Summit, MO, Clinton Young, Jr, of Grain Valley, MO; son-in-law, Gary Fink of Spreckels, CA; siblings, Iva Murrell of Cinncinatti, OH, Homer Young of Chattanooga, TN, Bill Young of Joplin, MO, Betty (Leonard) Dewitt, Jim (Bessie) Young all of Wichita; Numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
