Claude Allen

Claude Allen of Haysville, KS, passed away on February 27, 2025, at the age of 91. Claude was born on July 4, 1933, in Southwest City, Missouri. He was the sixth of twelve children born to James “Jim” and Edrie Allen. Shortly after his eighteenth birthday, Claude was drafted into the United States Army. Claude proudly served his country and was honorably discharged after two years of service. Claude went on to work at Boeing and retired after thirty plus years of dedication.

Those closest to him knew Claude to be compassionate, hard-working, and family oriented. He will be deeply missed by his wife of nearly seventy years, Evelyn Allen; siblings, Bob and Mattie; his children, Darrell (Ann), Pam (Scott); his grandchildren, Amanda (Alex), Rhiannon, Clayton, Lauryn; and great grandchildren Failyn and Cody. Claude will be remembered by countless extended family members and friends.

Claude was preceded in death by his parents, James “Jim” and Edrie Allen; siblings Charlie, Blanche, Chester, Louella, Eldon, Kay and Emma.

Visitation, 1-7pm, with the family present from 5:30-7pm, Tuesday, March 4 and Funeral Services, 10am, Wednesday, March 5, both will be at Shinkle Mortuary in Haysville, KS.
